We all know and love the blonde-haired princess who came from a life of scruffy abuse and, thanks to a magical fairy godmother, stole the heart of the local prince in a blue dress and glass heels. However, most of us don't know the original Cinderella tale - No, not the French telling, but the Egyptian folklore. In this creative work written by Tee, discover Cinderella's original story, and the general history that prompted its creation. **Disclaimer: We don't own Disney's Cinderella or any version of Cinderella, but we do own this writing.

In Dreams

The inner workings of the Royal family of Ethelburgesa was a secret. One could only imagine what happened behind the opulent front they put on. Life wasn't that different for Princess Cassiopeia. She was meant to be seen not heard, find a husband of higher rank and produce children before the age of twenty-five, easy with all the balls and social gatherings right? Wrong. There was a life plan and the family stuck to it... Until her brother abdicated. With a stupid mistake costing her her reputation, she is hurriedly married off to a current suitor and they have to work hard to keep up the facade that they have created. But things keep going wrong and accidents happen. Was it revenge or was Cassiopeia really just not meant to be the first female ruler and a higher power putting her in her place? I am gently rewriting this. So there will be an overhaul in a month or two. :)
