Volcren are monsters made of shadows that glow red from within. When people come into contact with these monsters, they become cursed. But when these people become cursed, they also get the ability to use magic. These cursed people are known as Mages. But because of their curses, people treat the Mages like they're just as bad as the Volcren, even though they're the only ones who can stand up to the monsters.
In this world, there is a girl named Eden. She became a Mage when a Volcren destroyed the town she was living in. But then, a boy around her age saves her.
The boy's name is Ben and like her, he's a Mage. With nowhere to go, Eden decides to go with him to Magdalena, which is a kingdom that is a safe heaven for Mages. There, Eden starts learning how to use her newfound magic. But while doing so, it becomes harder and harder to keep her curse contained.
She doesn't want to become the monster they all think she is.

Luna's life isn't exactly 'normal' her parents are people you would call sorcerers. They don't belong in the normal human world but the world they once lived has been taken over by the Darkness and is unsafe for young children. When Luna turns 16 she is to cross to this world to not return until she decides to have kids of her own. The Splice of The Realms
In a world divided into four groups, there is a role for everyone. Every group has their own realm found in each corner of the country they share. The top right corner has the largest population. There lives the people of the Mystery Realm (M.R.) They're the police force, detectives and prosecutors. They're the only realm which carries weapons of any kind. However, they don't kill. While they do value law and order, they don't like violence and tend to avoid it. The bottom left corner has the second largest population. The people there are born with unique powers. They're called the Supernatural Realm (S.R.) They tend to be optimistic and stubborn. They value relationships and would do anything to keep the people they love safe. The top left and bottom right corners are tied in regards to population, however, that is the only thing they share in common. These two realms couldn't be more different. In the top left corner is the society of the Technologically Enhanced Realm (T.E.R.) The people here develop technology the other realms could only dream of. They don't socialize with others and tend to keep to themselves. They understand complex equations and theories, however, they have a hard time understanding human emotion. Finally, in the bottom right corner lives the peaceful and happy people of the Primitive Harmony Realm (P.H.R.) The people here lead a simple life and believe in nature and its gifts. Because of that, they were blessed with healing abilities and elemental gifts. Additionally, the herbs they grow are just as magical as the people themselves. Their carefree and charismatic tendencies cause them to always believe the best in people, even when they shouldn't.
