Alexandria was your typical 'good girl'. She followed the rules, she smiled when in reality all she wanted to do was cry, she was the type to remain calm if u burned her house down. Thats what made her great at her job, she could keep her emotions out of the way. "Emotions, they have the power to kill you, you have to control it" Her mother would scold as she cried when things got to much. Her mother was a strong women, raised her daughter by herself and she never asked for help, even when she was diagnosed with cancer when Alex was 12 and by the time she needed her most when it came to boys, periods, and even girls being typical teenage girls she passed away and because of this this made Alex the women she is today. Calm, sophisticated and powerful.

"Teach each other to be normal," he recalled her words smiling, "I like the sound of that." Two strangers, both carrying unspoken burdens, find their lives intertwined in the undercurrent of a city that never sleeps. Spencer, a man driven by a restless need for answers and control, has spent years burying his darker impulses beneath a professional facade. Emory, a woman whose own vices have become her refuge, drifts through life with a quiet intensity, hiding a side of herself that even she's unsure of. What starts as a fragile bond built on unspoken understanding soon teeters on the edge of something neither is ready for. As they spiral closer to each other, they must confront the parts of themselves they've spent years hiding, unsure whether they're saving each other-or simply sinking together.
