Hermione is surprised to hear the Patil and Lavender Brown twins talking about Tolkien which leads to an exchange Ginny can't follow.

Disclaimer - I don't own Harry Potter. For this particular fic, the timeline for when the movies and television show came out is shifted back from what they were in real life, and despite being a major fan of Tolkien growing up, Hermione is unaware of the adaptions. And yes, this is satire/analysis of Rings of Power with the added footnote that I'm actually not white and a major fan of works such as Polly, which is a 1989 adaption of Pollyanna which was adapted asking the question of how would the narrative change if the characters were Black, rather than this ridiculous notion of making Pollyanna a Black girl to make it more accessible because it was recognized that the work was already accessible while taking into consideration how all the characters being Black would change the actual narrative.

Oh, and this was written for Froday Flash Fiction's first Reguluar challenge for April which was greed, which ended up leading to this little piece.
