As he reflects on his relationship and his feelings of disappointment and regret, he struggles to find the courage to take the pill.

What he found was a nearly full prescription for Oxy from when he broke his arm the year before. The pills made him sick so they gave him Vicodin instead. He had 27 left of the 30 prescribed of Oxy and 14 of the 30 left of the Vicodin. He combined the bottles and put the pills in an Altoids container and put them in his pocket. He put on his shoes and walked downstairs. David Clifton is a 15 year old with not much going for him. He is ordinary, obscure and, has issues at home.
