Shredder, also known as Oroku Saki, the main enemy of the turtles, is nearing the end of his days. He looks back on the past. His deceased sister, Oroku Aoi, entered a family whose history is completely shrouded in legends. According to the legends, Aoi's husband's clan is known for the blessings of the sun gods, as the village where the clan resides is said to have been created by Amaterasu.

In the 21st century, when the era of ninja clans came to an end, Aoi's brother-in-law's clan is experiencing a golden age. The first mission of the new General of the Army of the Sun is to swiftly and effectively kill the turtles and Hamato Yoshi. However, their plans are foiled by the Kraang, who had scheduled their invasion for the wrong time.

The legend of Shredder and foot clan turned out to be real but there could be hope. The last hope of defence is young mutant turtle, who's life just changed, and not for the better. (Better story inside.) This is AU story. There mutants and humans live together but the relationship between them isn't the best. Leonardo is painted turtle. Raphael is red eared slider. Donatello is razorback musk turtle. Michelangelo is chinese softshell turtle. I write warning here so it won't be a shock: turtles aren't truly brothers and Splinter is only a sensei. It is just "what if" thing. Raph and Leo are step brothers and the story focuses on those two as they deal with family drama. The one who lived like royalty was the younger of the twins while the one who lived in isolation was the oldest, both of them struggled not seeing one another and snuck out all the time up until their eleventh birthday as they took the gift of loyalty. Both of them were afraid to separate but knew if they disobeyed the gods, there was a potential chance one of them would lose something dear to them... Years Later... A new enemy threatens the peace of New York after a battle which was too intense leaving not only Leonardo fataly injured but bringing about news of two secret brothers living amongst the walls of the city.
