Demons were outlawed now that the laws were passed by the government stating that basically it was legal to arrest or kill a demon on sight. Due to the widespread belief that demons only brought bad omens and intended on hurting humanity, people all over the world begged for the extinction of demons, the government started killing demons off one by one. However the demons fought back. An arguably more powerful breed of demons formed a coterie to protect their own kind.
