"Why are you fighting me, Irdalah?" His voices breathes in my ear. I clench my fists, breathing heavily.

"You know I feel only anger, Cole."

"And why is that?" He asks, his lips nearly touching my own.

"Because I am hellbent on finding my heart."

***********
Irdalah Yamada.

The name alone is enough to strike fear into the heart of anyone who hears it.

If only she had her own.

Half vampire, half fire demon, Irdalah is missing her heart. Stolen straight from her chest as an infant, it's been missing for too long. She searches for it day in and day out, unable to find a single clue.

Enter Cole Bradford. He's a rookie cop who's been assigned to Irdalah's case.

Little does she know, he knows who has her heart.

And he will stop at nothing to get it for his own.
