Nysaria, a 17-year-old Ophula, is part of a mystical race that humans from the nearby island of Gorvano despise. 

Ophulas are human-like creatures with distinctive features that mark them as different and dangerous. The humans once killed Nysaria's father, trying to steal the Ophulas' life-giving crystal but failed. Now, years later, they return and succeed, leaving the Ophulas on the brink of vanishing.

Nysaria's mother, the queen, tasks her with retrieving the crystal from the human world
 A place Nysaria has never seen. She must do so without revealing her identity, avoiding relationships, and she MUST get the crystal in time before it's too late.
