"You've got to be kidding me..." I heard someone say in a low voice. I turned around and saw the goddess' gift to womankind.
(I'm being sarcastic but he might seriously be thinking that about himself. Why is he my mate? Goddess, why him of all people?)
I could already see he doesn't want me.
(Why don't I feel the pull of the bond? Aren't I suppose to shift my whole world to my mate?)
Even though I was confused, this was perfect. He approached me.
"Look, I know you think you hit the jackpot-"
"I don't know what you think but I think I should stop you there and make it easy, okay? I, Akira Tsukikawa of the Tsukikawa clan reject you, Ichirou Chiyama of the Chiyama clan as my mate." His eyes widened as he suddenly grabbed his chest and panted heavily.
(He didn't expect that, huh? I'm not as hurt as I thought I would be. It's more like a hangover headache but that's about it.)
"Well...? Aren't you rejecting me back? Need me to guide you through?"

Akira Tsukikawa. Even though of direct lineage to her clan, she wasn't considered an heir because of one thing and one thing only. She's a half-breed.
