«Let him be» Christopher said, getting up as well, wiping his bloodied hands «He cannot tell anyone now, can he?» he added, smirking, not knowing which part of him was acting like that, which part was real.
His butler halted «So this is why you ordered me to find you a mute spouse...»
«That, and because they would have been unable to annoy me» Christopher confirmed «We all have a job to do, he simply happened to be perfect for this one» he recited, almost like a prayer, almost like he too believed it.

Forced to wed by his family, Count Christopher Bahng, Queen Victoria's hound dog, orders for his spouse to be mute and he settles on the only person he finds slightly interesting, a Baronet called Felix. Wanting nothing more than for the whole deal to be done soon to get back fully to his duties, he marries immediately, then leaves his spouse alone, not daring to have anything to spare with him.
What he hasn't considered is that, perhaps, Felix is even more interesting than he lets on.
