This story is set in 2023. Miriam "Midge" Maisel is a young adult in NYC. She has an alcohol-given_to- boyfriend, half-rich half-loser Joel Maisel. They live together in a "two rooms, but too small" apartment in Manhattan. Joel work full-time and dedicate himself to his (alleged) passion: stand-up comedy. Midge works in a bookstore and is happy to live what she calls "a 50's kind of marriage" - although it has happened yet. One unexpected event (*cof cof*, you know what is going to happen; you just don't know how) makes everything change. This story is like re-watching the TV series, but with worse writing and way more (I mean, WAY MORE) sex scenes (maybe, because is tough to have sex nowadays).
