After the Crest of the Storyteller sends Aiden, Brin, Bouncing Boy, and Triplicate Girl to deep in a beautiful forest in France sometime in the 14th century, they come upon a cottage where a young woman name Briar Rose lives with her three aunts. After they learn that in one week is Rose's sixteenth birthday, the time and reality displaced heroes are given a place to stay and offer to help celebrate the young woman's birthday. But when they learn the true identity of Rose as a princess under the curse of a powerful evil fairy, the four young heroes vow to do all they can to protect her. But will their powers be enough, or will it take true love to prevail against evil?
