He had been serving 'the one who takes' for quite some years. Most of the creatures in the batches of new recruits either died or betrayed their king.
But Cross would never do that. The god had given him a home, friends, a new purpose, a second chance at life to prove his worth. In exchange Cross served him, stayed by his side, devoted his life to him in such a manner that it almost could be called worshiping. He was a god, afterall.
Cross knew he would do anything for Nightmare. He'd kill for him, had killed for him, he'd protect him, even die for him. And if that couldn't be achieved, well, then he'd die with him.

He is an emotionless being. He feels nothing and nothing only. No remorse. No happiness. No mercy. All he knows is "kill," and that's how it's been for long time. However, one day he comes across a new particular type of Sans. A very colorful one. He feels something he hasn't felt for years. Freedom. Once Nightmare finds out, it's not pretty. Killer was his most loyal worker. So he decided he had to end this "friendship." The question Killer asks is, why? "Why do you need me to feel nothing? Why do you want me to be a part of your crew? You always tell me how useless I am. If I'm so useless, why do you need me?" Nightmare couldn't give him an answer. Break the cycle
The Multiverse for a long time has been an endless loop. Both inside the AUs and in itself. Error and Ink making a truce then breaking it in any possible way. The Dreamtale twins fight until Nightmare dies and Dream sacrifices his soul to plant a new tree of Feelings recreating a cycle. But, among everyone, there is one person who remembers each loop that took place and after a few centuries of trying to figure out what to do, he finally got it. He will break those endless cycles and try to finally give the Multiverse some peace. This is the story of that attempt. Depression... A Sansest Story.
Everything was running smoothly for the Star Sanses on this amazing day. Ink was drawing happily, Blue was running around chasing butterflies, and Dream was reading! Until we look a little... deeper. Dream was fine. But Ink was thinking about things much darker than his smile gave off. Blue, on the other hand, was thinking all happy thoughts! To an outsider. To anyone else, he would never have depression. To others, he was a cute little innocent boy. But only he knew the truth. Dream was the happiest out of the bunch. Not really surprised, are you? Let's check in on the 'villains' as you may call them. Dust and Cross were running from Killer, who was tightening his strings on his hoodie, NIghtmare was reading just like Dream, skimming over the page, Horror was playing with his ax, and Error was knitting. Who is depressed? Ha. You really are blind, dear, dear reader. Have you yet to notice that the strings were on Killers wrists, so they wouldn't show? Or the way Nightmare never turns a page in his book? Geno was running away from Reaper at that moment, who was laughing. Reaper was slightly sad because he had to reap some souls, but Geno was the one suffering. Fell was being beaten by his brother at that moment, and no one would save him... "You can't be saved without help." This involves Crossmare, Dustberry, Errink, Afterdeath, Kreme, and Scifell. No, I will not be using Horrorlust in this book because I just don't get the ship. Unwanted protection
Everyone knows the Star Sanses: they're the Guardians of the Multiverse, and protect it from Nightmare and his minions, who only want to spread chaos and destruction. They're kind, strong, brave, the good guys! How can you not love them? You can't. They deserve the world. They're perfect and selfless and precious, and must be protected at any (and I do mean ANY) cost. Not that they couldn't protect themselves, of course! It's just, the Multiverse doesn't give them the appreciation and respect they deserve, not really. But Nightmare, Error, Horror, Killer, Dust, Cross... they know how much Dream, Ink and Blue are worth. And they'll keep them safe. Forever.
