When Miles attempts suicide, it doesn't go as planned. Paralyzed at the pavement below the bridge after jumping, he is full of regret. When he is on the edge of unconsciousness, he is approached by the Devil and is offered a deal he can't refuse. In exchange for his name, his soul, and some dirty work, Miles - now known as Alaric - is granted immortality. Now Alaric steals the souls of people that are on the fine line between life and death and gives them to the devil. However, when Alaric comes face to face with a soul he's been dreaming about, will he have the courage to sacrifice himself to let her live?

Before you read the summary, I want you to know that this isn't a story about paranormal beings falling in love, with each other or ordinary people. It is about the horrifying and unusual consequences caused be love. "How?" You may wonder...well I guess you'll just have to read and find out. Hi all this is my first attempt actually to write a fanfiction so bare with me and i hope my writing won't suck.
