Memories of the Past (a Life Series Story)
The story of what happened in between each life series. Adding lore and background to the YTbers and my own headcannon of the series explained. There is a lot of stuff like BLOOD, PSYCHOLOGICAL AND PHYSICAL TORTURE, and DESCRIPTION OF INJURIES. so please don't read if you're not ok with that. Circle of Pine and Riddle
Grian is a senior majoring in Architectural Design at his dream college, horribly burnt out and disillusioned with the system. Scar is studying to open the Scarland park he saw every time he closed his eyes. Jimmy is just trying to cope with the loss of his parents when he needed them most, trying to figure out who he is. Joel doesn't know what he wants, but he knows he needs to become someone who can stand proudly next to the person he loves. Lizzie has only ever wanted to help people, And Gem just wants to do her part to keep their crumbling world together. Their teacher, Professor Mumbo, wants nothing more than to do right by his students. So, when the opportunity for a life-changing competition arises-a chance to win full tuition from an organization called the "Watchers"-he volunteers to chaperone. No one questioned it when the bus drove off into the Pacific Northwest. No one thought to check if the GPS was working. Now, they're stranded in the wilderness, far from civilization, with no way out. OR Professor Mumbo Jumbo, Scar, Grian, Jimmy, Joel, Lizzie, and Gem to a competition in Seattle, ran by an organization called the "Watchers," which promised to pay the winners tuition in full. Things go slightly awry when Mumbo gets them all lost in the middle of the Pacific Northwest wilderness. Oopsie! (I'll make a better cover eventually, lol)
The Watched World
It's been years since the sorcerer Grian created his world, and he has finally returned from his travels. Since then more has changed than he could have ever predicted. His world has split into two factions, the Southlands and the Empire. His towers, once united, have separated. His formulated prosperity has crumbled. There are people now, new people, with their own complications, twisting and distorting his perfect little world. Grian decides to set things right. Forge new bonds, break old barriers. But they don't turn out right, do they? Suddenly someone is dying, and our flawed little sorcerer magics up a new set of lives for all of us at the cost of his own immortality. ____________ The story I will tell is not a joyful one. (character death) -roughly 25k words- After a sorrowful abandonment by their parents, Phil and Kristin, the three sons, Techno, Wilbur, and Tommy, are forced to take over the once happy kingdom they lived in. Techno was crowned the new king by force, and the two brothers are kept to the side as their brother is held to the royalty standards. Overtime of being alone with Wilbur, Tommy falls ill. Being the young child he was, unable to tell anything, the doctor gives him a typical shot to help. Wilbur starts creating new bonds with people, friends, and gathers a plentiful amount of people for the Thanksgiving feast. Though, on this feast, Tommy's health got the best of him. Wilbur takes him to his room to ignore the return of someone great. Though one final chord brought complete despair towards everyone. Blue is in the clutches of the Watchers. And one of her friends *is* a Watcher, and Martyn betrayed everything he knew, and it's tight and claustrophobic and annoyingly shimmery and... Basically, she has a lot on her mind. Gem, meanwhile, is dealing with a bunch of rowdy Last Lifers getting into her world, her twin brother getting "inspired" by an untrustworthy source, and of course, three missing people: Blue, Grian, and some guy who everyone seemed to hate named Martyn. But there are a lot more problems to solve than those. People and things that are supposed to be gone return, secrets that everyone would rather keep hidden are uncovered, worlds full of citizens are destroyed, and friends who have so much to live for die. Most of the problems can be traced back to the Watchers, which is why Blue and the rest of the Listener's Chosen are determined to defeat them. But things aren't always what they seem, and it's easy to get sidetracked when there's more than one villain. If you haven't read Life Hearts (book 1) or Evolved (book 2) go check them out. Enlightened (a Hermitcraft AU)
Grian has started getting weird dreams as of late. Dreams about living on a different island with different friends with different things going on around him. Dreams that are filled with bloodshed and betrayal. Finding himself remembering things from lives he didn't know he lived up until this point, Grian struggles to contribute to the Boatem Village and to work on his base. He still stocks up the G-Train and does his best to act as if nothing was wrong when among his friends, of course, but that didn't stop him from wondering what else he couldn't remember and whether or not he should let his friends know of the lie they are living in.
