at Fusha village 
the king of goa kingdom (Sabo's father) called a celestial dragon to kill Luffy the brother of the devil child.
The celestial dragon turns the people of Fusha village into slaves to work for the nobles and and the royalty

Luffy tries to act out in a attempt to save his homeland but the celestial dragon with the backing of the marine admiral Akainu kills Makimo and many of the people that live in the town.

Luffy then proceeds to escape from the burning pile of dawn island that was once his home, getting away with some burns and a missing arm

What happens after this?
does he get stronger and goes back to dawn island to save his homeland?
maybe he harbours an intense hatred for celestial dragons and nobles and pledges to eradicate all nobles, marines and celestial dragons..
