Charlotte Andrews married Nicholas Monroe, after getting pregnant at 19. Her family warns her against it, saying that there's something off about him, but she doesn't listen soon after the birth of their child, the verbal abuse occurs, followed by physical abuse.
Charlotte ostracizes herself from her family to keep her husband happy, she becomes a devoted wife and mother until the day she meets Marcus Samuels who has the most uncanny way of knowing that something's wrong.
