Five months ago, Anastasia Leftman's boyfriend, Eli, opened fire on their school cafeteria, killing 3 students and shortly killing his self after. Ana was as shocked as everyone else, but despite her own serious injury, she's implicated in the crime because of her and his relationship.
Now, after a summer of seclusion, Ana is forced by her mother to start new at Marlwood Reform School where she finds new friends and hopefully leaves her ugly past behind her, but will that all change when someone comes back into her life and she finds out who she really is?
