Harreth Windborn had it all: money, status, good looks, women fawning over him and next in line for a big promotion. Hell, he even knew a little magic. How can you compete with that? Especially when all you are is just plain old human. Elves get all the breaks, but things started turning around for Wally Wilson when he met Aellethia Silverwing. Sure she was an elf, famous and beautiful, but to Wally's dismay she was interested in him.

Dating an elf of her status came with its perks: invites to private parties, not needing reservations at expensive restaurants, access to exclusive clubs... it was a new, exciting and different world. For the first time in his life, Wally was more than just ordinary. But he feared his new found status wouldn't last and he'd do just about anything to hold on to it.
