After completing chemotherapy and radiation for Stage 4 Prostate Cancer, Abigail moves back to Anaheim after a 3-year therapy whilst living with her aunt. When she arrives back in Anaheim to find her father's death replaced by her "evil" stepmother. 
However, when she begins school again, a school dances held. Her "evil" stepmother forces her to stay home while her two new "ugly" stepsisters go instead. After a miracle, Abigail is free to go, and with some new converse by her side, she goes to the dance. 
Abigail's story is soon unwritten after a relapse a week after the dance, and with a boy searching for the "girl with the converse" she heads back to New York. 
Will she ever find true love and true love's first kiss?
