From the contest Write to Rank, a competition about action writing with challenges every week. This is my entry on the contest. Hope you enjoy it. Released : Part 1 -white belt : write a 100 words flash-fiction action about the realization of danger. The wordcount must be exactly 100 Part 2 -yellow belt : write a 500 words flash-fiction with the prompt "Dead or alive. You're coming with me." The wordcount max is 500 words Part 3 -orange belt : write an 800 words flash-fiction with dialogue between good and bad. The wordcount max is 800 words Part 4 -green belt : write a 1000-1500 words flash-fiction using the genres of action & thriller/horror. Must mostly contain active sentences and fast-paced. It has to be first person perspective. Part 5 -blue belt : write a 1000-1500 words flash-fiction using the theme "Ride or Die" with a third person perspective and the show not tell sentences. Part 6 -purple belt : write a 1000-1500 words action fantasy with a plot twist. Part 7 -brown belt : write a 2000-2500 words action + free theme and with active sentences. End with an insane cliffhanger. Part 8 -red belt : write a 3000-3500 words (continuation of the brown belt) + active sentences and fast-paced. This is a collection of my submission for the "Write to rank" challenge back in March 2018. White Belt: 100 word flash-fiction about a moment capture in mid-action. Yellow Belt: 500 word flash fiction about a high speed chase. Orange Belt: 800-word flash fiction that contains a dialogue between good and bad. Green Belt: 1k (min) and 1.2k (max) words - Mystery mashup with action. Blue Belt: 1.2k words - science fiction mashup with action. Purple Belt: 1k - 1.2k words - historical fiction mashup with action. Brown Belt: 2k word one-shot with the following incorporated: An explosion, a damsel (distressed or not), the words - "There is no stopping this madness." and lastly a big old cliffhanger. Loving Lies
Both have a past they don't like. She was tortured and he was neglected. But when the God of Mischief has to be held captive in her home she can't help be curious. She's one of the few who shows kindness to the misunderstood God; not caring that the others around her don't approve. When troubles come her way making her life haywire he's there for her as well. So falling in love with him along the way will obviously happen...right? Influence
The curtain around the hospital bed slides open to reveal an African American man with warm eyes. He walks in with an easy smile and a white man steps in just behind him with dark blue eyes and near black brown waves that fall to his shoulders. The man behind him catches my eye, his eyes a bright blue with a crown of golden hair. Our eyes meet and his crystal blue ones widen. Déjà vu hits me like a truck and my mind bounces back to a fuzzy night a couple of months ago full of hard liquor. While I can't remember many things from that night, I do remember those blue eyes vividly. My lips pop open and a blush tints my cheeks as well as his. Oh, Jesus, I had a one-night stand with Captain America. Reagan Monroe was born with a gift she never wanted and hates to use now. She's isolated herself, but since life is relatively shit, trouble still manages to find her. After defending a kid from some goons, a certain group of superheroes finds her and it turns out she already knows one of them. Being Tony Starks assistant has its perks, I mean who doesn't want to be friends with the Avengers?! In your case they are basically family now. However when you stumble into the office one day about to take your two week vacation, your life changes forever... When Thor and Tony ask you for your help your life takes a turn you never imagined possible. What happens somewhere along the way... I do not own any of these characters! Marvel owns all avenger characters! This is a slow burn type of book, they are my favourite kind! Nothing like a little tension before it finally blows up! I have never done anything like this before! So please be kind! There is swearing and some mature scenes in the book! So please be warned! He was sure he was a villain, then he wasn't quite sure what he was, and now he may only be sure of her. But what is sure is that something much bigger than all of them is threatening the home they love, and its name is Thanos. So, she now has the superpowers and the Avengers at her back, but don't be fooled. Cassidy Martin is no hero. She couldn't even save herself.
