This is a collection of my submission for the "Write to rank" challenge back in March 2018. White Belt: 100 word flash-fiction about a moment capture in mid-action. Yellow Belt: 500 word flash fiction about a high speed chase. Orange Belt: 800-word flash fiction that contains a dialogue between good and bad. Green Belt: 1k (min) and 1.2k (max) words - Mystery mashup with action. Blue Belt: 1.2k words - science fiction mashup with action. Purple Belt: 1k - 1.2k words - historical fiction mashup with action. Brown Belt: 2k word one-shot with the following incorporated: An explosion, a damsel (distressed or not), the words - "There is no stopping this madness." and lastly a big old cliffhanger. From the contest Write to Rank, a competition about action writing with challenges every week. This is my entry on the contest. Hope you enjoy it. Released : Part 1 -white belt : write a 100 words flash-fiction action about the realization of danger. The wordcount must be exactly 100 Part 2 -yellow belt : write a 500 words flash-fiction with the prompt "Dead or alive. You're coming with me." The wordcount max is 500 words Part 3 -orange belt : write an 800 words flash-fiction with dialogue between good and bad. The wordcount max is 800 words Part 4 -green belt : write a 1000-1500 words flash-fiction using the genres of action & thriller/horror. Must mostly contain active sentences and fast-paced. It has to be first person perspective. Part 5 -blue belt : write a 1000-1500 words flash-fiction using the theme "Ride or Die" with a third person perspective and the show not tell sentences. Part 6 -purple belt : write a 1000-1500 words action fantasy with a plot twist. Part 7 -brown belt : write a 2000-2500 words action + free theme and with active sentences. End with an insane cliffhanger. Part 8 -red belt : write a 3000-3500 words (continuation of the brown belt) + active sentences and fast-paced. 30 Days, 30 Stories: A Writing Challenge
This is a 30 day writing challenge, a collection of short stories. I've always been a world class procrastinator. The goal of this challenge is to get me writing regularly and, hopefully, break me of the perfectionist thinking that often paralyses me. The Rules: 1. Write and publish 1 short story (flash fic, vignette) per day for 30 days. 2. Stories must be at least 100 words. 3. They can be of any genre or subject matter. Like a lot of writers I have notebooks lying around full of random story ideas. Most of my older ideas are for novels and screenplays. Been going thru my old ideas and picking out the ones I think lend themselves to the short story format. I'm also working on coming up with NEW ideas that I can use here. Never been good at using prompts, but this is a good opportunity to experiment with those. All the stories here are original works written specifically for this challenge. A Medieval Action work with a number of different genre as each round's prompts dictate. Battles, Kings, princes, a princess; crowns, plots, twists and turns. Achiever of all the nine belts. WINNER OF ROUND 9 - "A NEW WORLD" Something different for me to stretch my writing skills and get back into one of the things I love most in my life - to create stories. this 'work' idea has been created by Ambassadors here for this "Write to Rank Contest 2022" - each chapter (round) to be written from a prompt given by the contest creators. The first round is a very quick read indeed, - a DRABBLE - a story of exactly 100 words, no more, no less; however much ACTION. ROUND 5 - MORE twists and turns in this unexpected but amazing challenge - mashing up fantasy and action - battles; legends exposed under-cover; flying with eagles; a rare mental condition called today "Boanthropy" - seemingly of fantasy but a historic king suffered 7 years from it! Loki looks to the side "that's like saying take away what I truly am" I scoff "just because your different doesn't mean you cannot do good, Loki" he looked to me with eyes almost desperate. The curtain around the hospital bed slides open to reveal an African American man with warm eyes. He walks in with an easy smile and a white man steps in just behind him with dark blue eyes and near black brown waves that fall to his shoulders. The man behind him catches my eye, his eyes a bright blue with a crown of golden hair. Our eyes meet and his crystal blue ones widen. Déjà vu hits me like a truck and my mind bounces back to a fuzzy night a couple of months ago full of hard liquor. While I can't remember many things from that night, I do remember those blue eyes vividly. My lips pop open and a blush tints my cheeks as well as his. Oh, Jesus, I had a one-night stand with Captain America. Reagan Monroe was born with a gift she never wanted and hates to use now. She's isolated herself, but since life is relatively shit, trouble still manages to find her. After defending a kid from some goons, a certain group of superheroes finds her and it turns out she already knows one of them. And not in the most flattering of ways. *I DO NOT OWN THE AVENGERS OR MARVEL IN ANY WAY. ONLY THE CHARACTERS AND SITUATIONS I CREATE*Complete

She walked out from the red drapes in nothing more than lingerie to the dance floor and began the entrancing performance, just another night. Music plays as she dance and sing. Suddenly, something catches her eye, and she freezes for the briefest moment. This night wasn't going to be like every other night at the palace. One day the Avengers receives a mission from Director Fury; an entertainment palace with connections to HYDRA where most of the entertainers were slaves and forced into the business. The main act a supposed mutant. Fury want's the team to check it out and bring it down. Oh boy were they in for something. Loki is forced to come down to Midgård with his brother and help his pathetic little friends protect the realm he had tried to conquer mere years before to serve his sentence instead of rotting in a cell. Needless to say he hates it. But not for very long. This is a LokixOC fanfic about a dancer with magic in her veins that catches the eye of everyone's favorite dark haired god. All rights go to Disney and Marvel since I only came up with my OCs and don't own any of the other characters PS.
