Willem Yeats, born with the name Jacquelyn Brooke, despises their 'real' name and their 'real' body. For a short yet life-changing years of their life, they waste their time living in a virtual reality where they can feel ... comfortable ... with themselves-including having a perfect Manic Pixie Dream Girlfriend.
Roughly 5 years later, they're forced into the role of a Manic Pixie Dream Person in order to not lose their job. Willem, as someone who knows what it takes to yearn for a Manic Pixie Dream Girl, attempts to slip into the persona for the sake of Zipporah, their employer's daughter.
Problem is, Willem might actually know what it feels like to fall in love.
