After WW3 78% of the world became toxic with radiation due to atom bombs being released in the war. Now only some of America and Asia are left. A few small countries like Mexico, Hawaii and Australia. Now that most of the population is gone, America has come up with a new system, a new government to make the population sky rocket. In this new world if you want to make it, you must be beautiful. Women who were pregnant during the war had peculiar children. These children were normally blessed with beauty, but also unique features or abilities. These children are called the "Blessed". Odd eye colors are usually found on the Blessed. 

Schools were built for simply beautiful children and the blessed. Even after the war, blessed children would randomly pop up though they were not conceived during the radiation crisis. After 17 years blessed children became even more rare. 

These schools I've mentioned of are no normal schools. They are to teach children how to maintain beauty or powers and sharpen the mind. Not only do pretty children Get in, any child of high intelligence can also get in. In the story more is explained, I hope you enjoy!All Rights Reserved

It took almost a month before they were rescued by Mr. Knight, they got taken to a secret place where they could live peacefully. that's a lie, one of the students wanted revenge and not stay hidden, so the group seperated. Every year another person got powers, and so, the search continued. But there was always one question on mr. Knight mind: Why 12 children the first time, and only one per year after that? And one thing was for sure: whenever someone gained powers, they had to give something up in return. It was never a choice. It was just the way it was. So, now that I've explained a bit about how this all started, let's fast forward to the present. It's now 2033. Mr. Knight has found 19 children, and Mr. Douglas, the leader of the other group, has found 10. That means... the 30th child is out there somewhere. Who will it be? It was 2062, the year of the misery. World War 3 happened, a nuclear war which ended up making the earth inhabited. But luckily there were survivors. There was an organization called 'Octagon Veranda' situated on a lonely Island in the Atlantic Ocean. This organization of scientists was created mainly to focus on surviving the World War, which could have wiped out humans from Earth. So they were ready for every threat that could occur. The island was covered by a special Nano cover which was supposed to last 300 years and it's a shield against radiation, bioweapons and chemical attacks. The island has all facilities with high technology. The communication system within the island was advanced and had no connection with outside to prevent AI attacks. It was protected in every possible way which is why humanity still lasts. It is 2140 now. Our little island is the only place humanity can survive on the earth but sadly it's a small island. The population is rising. So now we have a lot more problems in surviving than radiation. We are in a sinking Titanic without boats and it's stuck in a radioactive world. Space is the only place we have left to go. We are working on that plan, a Space station. But still, this island is our plan A. There are two parts of the island. Inside and outside. Simply heaven and hell on the same island. If you can get inside you are more than lucky. If you get to live outside, you better pray for death. Inside the island is the place where the Octagon Veranda, the main buildings and the city are situated. Octagon Veranda, we work on eight sectors that help humanity to survive. Each and every sector has a chancellor, together that's the Octagon council. They rule both inside and outside but they care more for the inside, chosen people.

To slow the damage, scientists created L.O.V.E, short for Living Off Vital Emotions, a nanovaccine that numbs the virus and switches off all strong emotions. Those in the first stages of illness became ideal candidates to receive the neuroinhibitor. Having their feelings restrained and their memory altered, those who come of age are designated a life partner through a Selection process, thus preserving the humankind. A few decades after the trial had started, scientists had a major breakthrough. The nanites, which are highly chemically reactive organisms, are changing their bio-engineered purpose when dopamine levels are high. With a new generation of nanoids, stronger and smarter to fight the battle, the virus doesn't have a chance. Many attempts were made to create a man-made version of synthetic dopamine and each time the outcome was a disaster. Their goal is to create new generations, immune to the virus. These are called Purebloods, the offsprings of those who find pure love, the only cure to save them from a violent death. Running out of time, the Experiment entered in its final stages.
