Rye likes his life. He gets to explore the beautiful world of Allaencia with his best friend, Ria. He gets to sleep under the stars every night. And, better yet, he can love 'em and leave 'em if he so chooses.
The problem is Ria. More so that she wants her throne back. Princess Cambria of Allaencia, in hiding for 17 brutally long years, on the run from the Witch who killed her family, dragging Rye along for the ride.
Don't get him wrong! He would die for Ria. Unfortunately for him, being the best friend to the displaced Princess puts him in the crosshairs more often than he would like.
But that's the life when you're destined to be someone's sidekick.
