A building threat begins within the shadows of Skyrim once more. 5 months after the reign of Alduin, the former Dawnguard reassembles after an abrupt rise of vampire attacks. Putting her Dragonborn title behind her, Mimzi lives off the streets of Whiterun desperately seeking coin. She enlists with the Companions (a legendary and renown fighting guild). However, after a tragedy in Whiterun, the Companions follow their leader, Kodlak Whitemane, to the Fort Dawnguard to join the fight. During their trials- strained relationships, clashing rivalries, and a dark secret of the Companion's fighters come to surface. All while Mimzi, the Companions, and Dawnguard forces work to put an end to a grim prophecy the vampires seek to enact.

I'd played Skyrim so many times on other systems by then, I got the idea of 'what if the Dragonborn already knows what she's supposed to do?' A friend of mine edited and complied all of my stories of Krinna the Dragonborn into a cohesive story with a proper conclusion. So here it is. Krinna has been told in a prophesy that she is the Dragonborn who must save the world. Farkas thinks the Dragonborn is good company, but he only has eyes for a certain Housecarl. Deirdre Morningsong returns to Skyrim seeking vengeance on the Nords who murdered her parents, only to be captured by Imperial soldiers who mistake her for a Stormcloak rebel. After escaping both the Imperial dungeons and the destructive return of the dragon Alduin, she resolves to discover what strange power is within her, and what the dragons have to do with it. Follows the main quest lines of the game, weaving them into a story of adventure and romance, with numerous twists on the canon. I'm hoping it's equally enjoyable for those who've played the game and those who haven't. Trigger warnings: rape is mentioned, one is attempted and prevented, but none are completed. Some other sexual assault. The first chapters are PG-13, but later ones become R-rated. (Feedback on appropriate ratings appreciated.) Skyrim is part of the Elder Scrolls series of games, copyright by Bethesda Softworks. The image for the book cover is from the game. I've only posted Part I here, but will soon post the rest (four parts total, 62 chapters). I've worked in nonfiction up to now because it's easier for me to describe places and events I can experience first-hand. I'm hoping that writing this fanfic will be a bridge to doing more of my own fiction.
