The Etchings are active, the prophetic tablets again inscribing our fates. Well, or so it seems.  Lord Mundus has cheated the future, and now everyone is going to pay a price.  Fetoven Vas, a rather moody and impusive serf of Lord Mundus's manor, is bestowed the greatest cost of all: the curse of the Axis Palm.  Along with the alien dragon Laetres, the mysterious sneak Serpo, the cousin Enervent, and the lord's son Maccus, Fetoven flees from the estate, in hopes of righteous truth and the peace within the struggle of an unlikely romance.   

Can he fight his dark destiny before it's too late?  Or will he stumble over the fine line between good and evil?
