This story is outside of the timeline! There probably won't be any mention of Camp Half-Blood or Camp Jupiter. The seven demigods (Including Nico, Bianca, and Will) are pirates on the Argo II. The trouble all starts when Bianca goes missing six months ago, followed by Hazel three months after that. Then Will goes missing, and Nico is thrown into a flurry of panic. Can Nico manage to rescue his family/friends before it's too late?

His death triggers a lot of things for him, and shines light on a lot of his unresolved trauma. Will Nico be able to make it through this without his mental stability completely breaking once and for all? Will Nico be able to let people in enough to help him get through it? And what about the mysterious dreams that Nico keeps having of his mom? And who really is this little girl that knows nothing about her past? In this sequel to Out of the Shadows, Nico sees familiar faces and revisits past places, but at least this time he has Will along for the ride.
