Three-hundred years after the Calan race leave Humanity to fend for itself, the Universe is in turmoil. Corruption breaks economies, assassins dethrone monarchs and wars threaten the unprotected. Meanwhile a mysterious, celestial object materialises in space at the same time as thousands of individuals disappear without trace. The Human colonies are struggling to maintain order along the planetary system borders, as the Universe can feel a storm brewing.

Professor Kalet Steale of the Leonis Chapter grapples with his Calan faith, as disaster strikes his esteemed Astronomy Institution. Carlos di Gunga of the Aquarius Chapter interrogates a criminal supposedly responsible for the downfall of an entire civilisation. And Liúlàng Zhě of the Draconis Chapter seeks to defend a technologically deficient nation from the threat of invasion.

Meanwhile, Llywydd Cyson Tywysydd, leader of the immortal Calan race, attempts to reform the bond that once existed between the Calanau and Humanity. However, the discovery of a weapon designed to destroy Calan undermines trust, leading them to regret the decision they made three centuries ago.

A Gathering of all Humanity's chapters might be their only hope, as deceit on all sides clouds sensibilities. But the question remains: do the Calan wish to be bystanders to chaos, or interfere in the political minefield of Humanity once more...?

Humanity Endures by Evan_Armstrong
102 parts Complete
Desperation, ideals, greed, and hope - they all have a role to play in tearing the galaxy apart. The human race finds itself at the precipice; a mysterious, monstrous force threatens everything in the cosmos, and all the while, the unity of humanity's Empire threatens to shatter just when it is needed most. Never before has extinction been so tangible a possibility, and never before has exceptional courage, intellect, and luck been more needed. This is a story about more than just people, their ambitions, and their conflicts: it is a story about crisis, set in a universe where survival, for any side, and for anyone, may be impossible. It remains to be seen if the popular patriotic saying, "Humanity endures," will remain true - even for a week. -- If you wish you purchase a paperback version of this novel, you can do so on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Humanity-Endures-Evan-Peter-Armstrong/dp/B08P8QK86H. Biopod Serie #0: Rust & Stardust

22 parts Complete

"After everything, you're... one of the few things that actually feels real." In 2030, the sky cracked open. By 2040, Earth belongs to the Biopods. In the present, 2049, humanity has mostly given up, trying to survive through this broken world. They arrived as silent meteorites, egg-shaped monoliths that burrowed into the Earth. At first, humanity thought they were dormant. But they weren't. Each Biopod is a living factory: it devours biological matter-humans, animals, forests-and reconfigures it into cold, sentient machines. The machines they make vary, adapting to terrain, resistance, and resource availability. They don't just kill. They convert. Matthew Riots, gunner from the Frontline, no longer wishing to fight, left the Frontline for Zeta. There he reunited with his sister, living out their quiet lives. But no peace truly exists in a world full of Biopods. Zeta fell, he and his sister completely lost contact. Promising to keep surviving no matter what, Matthew journeyed to the promised land of Athena. The story of Rust And Stardust gives us insights on what little humanity is left in the apocalypse. A story focusing on the theme of family, love and human's connection. In a broken world where survival is a luxury, will our main character finally find peace and happiness again?
