Tyler a sixteen year old teen lives in Alaska with his extended family. But after a huge storm comes, it kills most of his family (including his mom.) Now he lives with his sister Kira and his dad. But his dad abusese him for no reason.... Or at least that's what Tyler thinks. The storm is still moving which can kill them in a instant if they don't leave. So Now with his ruined life he moves to Long Island with his family until it's safe to go back. He meets new friends and problems when he's there. How will he deal with this? Will he ever get over it? And at the end he will realize his family isn't a really a true family at all.....
