Charlotte is a Hunter of Artemis...the favorite Hunter, to be exact. She's been part of it since the 18th century, and is the most experienced archer out of all the girls. 

Apollo, brother of Artemis, has always had an eye for beauty, and has been trying to flirt with the Hunters for as long as they've joined with Artemis.  Charlotte has always been his favorite, since she constantly tries to avoid seeing him when he visits their camp, and he enjoys the challenge.
