A short story from the World of La la Scott, featuring my favorite character, Kat Crawford. Kat is a down home, country girl from East Texas and is unapologetic about it. She doesn't put on airs to make herself 'citified' and if you don't like it, she really doesn't care. She still uses her country way of speaking, despite the fact that she's lived in Dallas for years and has had a Degree for even longer. She likes that people underestimate her so she always has the upper hand.
Kat originally worked for Jackson Donner before he died and became close friends with Merriwether and Arch Donner. Kat is the one that discovered La La (or as she calls her Lila) was Merriwether's niece. Get to know Kat, it'll be fun.

Strays
When their dad brings home another stray to the ranch, but this time it's a cat. They are on edge as the last one caused more trouble than they were worth. But when the stray cat shows up on their own at the ranch they have to reconsider this stray and find ways to make them want to stay and not wander away as everyone grows attached to the stray cat. Then an old friend reappears, making one of them get into trouble more than once. As a new resident of the town has trouble getting used to the new environment, but with a bit of help, she is getting comfortable in more ways than one.

There's always been something missing in Stevie's life. She just doesn't know what or who it is. When Stevie's father starts to act suspicious, she takes it upon herself to find out what he's hiding. But when she finally sees what secret he's keeping from her, will she be able to handle it? Will all of the pain be worth it when she finally discovers this missing thing? Kat- don't you dare call her by her full name or else she'll kick your ass- was an average seventeen year old girl (although a tomboy), living peacefully in her house with her mum and older (and annoying) twin brothers... UNTIL she was almost kidnapped. It turns out that her long lost father had actually sent the kidnapper to capture her and make her a part of his criminal organization- Black Viper. I can now say that her real story began from then. Faced with life- threatening decisions- literally- Kat has to make the right choices or else she could fatally harm her loved ones.... and disappoint her father.
