There will years of good and 7 years bad will follow the 7 year of good. That's how saying goes right? Well not in Rakeems life. The first 7 years of his life was filled with hunger, moving from place to place, no lights, heat, and just so many things that could break someone. But Rakeem had his mother to survive these 7 years and she always seemed to find a way to turn the smallest things in to something amazing. Her smile made Rakeem smile. Well weeks after Rakeem's 7th birthday his mother was killed. Rakeem world quickly changed and all the joy had once had died when his mother did. Was the first 7 years of his life suppose to the bad or was yet to come. Either way all it took was one night and one girl to change Rakeem's life.
