Other Worlder: Book 1 In The Ethereal Chronicles

Kairo Kiroshi lived a normal life for a 23 year old New Yorker. He was a hardware store manager, had an apartment in a small city, had friends and coworkers and a crush on a girl from college. Did he mention he was enrolled for his masters in Psychology?
Then after work one night, he wakes up in a strange new world, literally a whole new world, full of impossibilities he never thought he would ever see outside of a book, game or movie. Here, magic was possible. Creatures of all kinds roamed the lands and clad groups of people called Alliances traveled the world hunting down the dangers that threatened the peace, fighting them with magical abilities that seemed straight out of an anime.
Kairo, unsure of what all to make of his situation, decides that the best strategy is to play it safe and go along with whatever is happening. He needed to survive and try to figure out what had happened to him and how to get back home.
Along the way he meets a group of individuals whom help him adjust to this new life he found himself in, and show him the ropes on his way to Tier 1. If there was one thing they all knew for sure, it was that if he stood a chance of finding out what happened to him and making it back, he would need to be strong to do so.
During his training, things that rattle even his group start to unfold, leaving everyone in a state of fear, coming to the harsh reality that they were involved in something much bigger than anyone could have thought.
With political scandals, assassinations, creatures behaving oddly and seeming to evolve, alliances turning on one another, darkness seems to be lurking just around the corner. Kairo and his group must get stronger as fast as they can to fight whatever is coming for not just them, but the whole world, and still find the answers to Kairos very important questions.
After all of it though, will kairo ever get back home? And more importantly, will he even want to?
