In a galaxy far far away...
	 The failed crime syndicate known as Crimson Dawn is being kept alive by former leader Lady Qi'ra's daughter, Tala. With Qi'ra's location unknown, Tala has made it her mission to finish what her mother started in hopes of bringing her mother out of her own exile. Tala is determined to destroy the leader of the first order, Supreme Leader Snoke. With whispers of Darth Sidious' return Tala is working tirelessly to track down any member of the First Order. 
	Tala finds herself on Mastafar, the location that was the beginning of the end for her Mother a long time ago. Qi'ra acquired the Fermata Cage from Mastafar in an effort to trap Darth Vader and Sidious, but she failed. Unlike her mother, Mastafar was just the beginning for Tala, especially when she runs into the merciless Kylo Ren, the commander of the First Order.

One year after the events of The Last Jedi, the Resistance is almost extinct. Only a dozen Resistance fighters are left. They hide on a small planet, usually only known by smugglers, Numidian Prime. (Book 2) A year has gone by since the First Order failed to get the map that would take them to Luke Skywalker. Kylo Ren has continued to train Zeh Skurn in the ways of the Sith, determined to get revenge on the Resistance and that scavenger Rey. The Knights of Ren have gathered at their base in preparation for the final strike that is to come once Skywalker is killed and Snoke's arrival is nearing. Both Kylo and Skurn are positive they will win this time. However, could they be underestimating the power of the light side? Rey is no longer just a scavenger. She has trained with Luke Skywalker to be a Jedi, and though not fully trained, is already powerful. Rey and her team of Poe, Finn, and BB-8 are determined to stop the Sith once and for all... for Alder' s sake. His parents mourn for him still but are strong, leading the Resistance tactically as they wait for another opportunity to strike at the First Order. This time, Kylo and his apprentice won't be getting away. But the dark side is stirring. Snoke's arrival bids more than his wrath for failure, it also brings a new face, or rather mask, to the Knights of Ren. Rey, an abandoned nobody, fought side by side with the powerful Kylo Ren. She saw a future in him, a redemption of Ben Solo. She believed it, and a part of her still does Kylo Ren, Ben Solo, the son of a Skywalker and the grandson of Darth Vader, turned to the dark side by the never calm conflict within him. He killed his own Supreme Leader for the scavenger girl, but now it seems the girl has no more faith in Ben Solo and he is lost. After the Battle of Crait, Rey shut the door on the new Supreme Leader Kylo Ren. Only days before, she was sure that she could bring back Ben Solo, but now, shes not so sure anymore. She's lost faith in him, she believes her vision was only a vision. But she just can't seem to forget the look in his eyes when he fought by her, when he killed his Supreme Leader, when he understood her after the dark cave consumed her. She can't seem to forget him. Then there's Resistance pilot Poe Dameron. Rey hardly knows him and yet now she's strongly captivated by him, drawn to him by an aura that feels so positive and so warm and welcome. But he has a hatred for Ben Solo that is unexplained, and Rey fears that her friendship with Poe will prevent her from bringing Ben home. Who will Rey choose?

What if Rey had taken Kylo Ren's hand when he offered it the second time, deciding her best chance at defeating Palpatine and saving the galaxy was with him? But can the two of them overcome their differences and mistrust of each other to accomplish that task or will pride win out? And then there is a certain group of meddling Force Ghosts determined to test them to their fullest. Meanwhile, Finn has a destiny of his own to fulfill chasing visions of his past across the galaxy. Poe buries himself in work as he tries to forget his failures and forge ahead. Leia attempts to cement her legacy and ensure the future of the galaxy. This fanfic explores a different ending to TROS starting at about the halfway point, when Kylo reveals the truth about Rey in the hangar. It will focus mainly on their story but there will be significant plot arcs that focus on Finn, Poe, Leia, and others. There will be a few augmentations to the earlier story, but I have tried to stay true to the plot up until this point, except for the 16 hr deadline Palpatine gave them. His threat was open ended in my version. (The Force Awakens Fanfic) The day she lost her parents was one of grief and joy for Zeh Skurn. From then on she was both free from her Mother's horror of her power... but she also lost her father's love and protection. Of course she can't remember much of them now, not that she has time or the desire to with the field she works in. In fact, it was due to being a bounty hunter that got her tangled in the mess between the First Order and the Resistance. Now, captured by the Sith, Kylo Ren, she will have to choose which side she will finally join... and Skurn better pick right or her life will be over. Alder Solo, brother to Ben Solo, son of Leia and Han. He witnessed the massacre of the new order of Jedi, barely escaping with his own life as he fled. A coward, always the coward in the family, not like Ben had been. Alder couldn't even use the force, though his skill with a lightsaber was admirable. Now he has an opportunity to redeem himself and bring his brother back to the light, will he be able to accomplish his task and learn to accept his lack of the Force or will Kylo Ren destroy him completely? One thing is certain: The First Order has strength beyond that of the Resistance and with Zeh Skurn under their influence the Resistance needs Luke Skywalker found and Finn, Poe, and Rey must help Alder find his true path if they are to ever defeat Kylo Ren.
