Piper Wood has moved from Ohio USA with her father and new British stepmother mother, Missy Walker, to England. With all of the moving, new school, new friends, new bullies. After being abused by her step mother, she still has to go to school, and school is just absolutely horrible. Did I mention, she cuts herself? Bullies call her names, beat her up, punch her, pull her hair, etc. One Thursday afternoon, when the bullies are beating up Piper, a college student walking around the campus hears screaming and punching on a wall. He spots the bullying and comes to stop. They finally stop and the boy, Liam Payne goes toward Piper and helps her up. He takes her to the hospital and then Piper gets taken home by Missy only to get abused again, The only highlight of her life, was getting the boy's number.
