Silence, Absolute Silence

When she was in the 3rd grade, Emika talked all she wanted to. She talked about her grades, her friends, her church, and her life in California. She made up stories with her friends, but she underestimated her voice. One day her parents wanted to move to Hawaii, which meant a new school, and new friends. She was devastated, she stormed out of the room, out the front door and into her tree house, she cried and cried till eventually, in her angry tantrum she banged her fist up against the wall and it suddenly fell over her small body. She flew out of the tree house and she landed on her scull. She was unconscious for 3 1/2 hours. Her parent came out looking for her to come in and eat dinner, they saw her on the ground, and rushed her to the ER. That injury left her mute for the rest of her life. Now even in her second year in high school, she still is unable to speak. She just sits there in silence, absolute silence.
