The human mind is a complex thing, a biological wonder. But, it can be so fragile, even the smallest of things can mess with ones own perceived stability. Of course, that has a logical purpose. After all, the human mind was built with the intention of survival. But this is the modern world. Survival typically isn't the biggest concern anymore. The mind breaks under the stress, unable to cope. After realizing that, you begin to notice that the mind breaks under any extreme. And you begin to wonder if the whole thing is just some kind of cruel joke.

Save Me
I was drowning. I knew that. I also knew that the hands around my throat, pushing me deeper into the river water was the cause. What I didn't know was who was drowning me and why. It hurt thinking. It hurt to do anything right now. But I still screamed under the cold water and pushed the hands away as hard as I could. It didn't have much effect. I fought and fought, but I was getting weaker, and colder. The pain was overbearing. I couldn't breathe. It was the worst pain imaginable; and as the hands that were around my neck were forcibly ripped off by some unknown force, I slipped deeper into the depths of the river. My hair was straight above me along with my arms. My eyes were open and the water burned. A darkness started to pull me under, taking the pain away. I felt a small pressure around my waist, before the darkness completely consumed me. The last thing I remember is thinking, save me.Concluida
Sweet Dreams
Monsters are everywhere, but the human ones are the worst. At least the Creatures of the Night don't kid almost families, friends, neighbors, coworkers. Once reborn they live in the night. Sure, they do all of the same twisted things that humans do to one another, but they don't hide who they are. When you see them you know death is coming. You can predict the sick things they will do to you. But when the monster looks human, you're blindsided. One minute you're in love with a guy and the next he's slitting your throat. Trust me, I speak from experience. Gruesome things that use to make me sick now makes my stomach flutter in joy. I traded charming grins and blue eyes for carved smilies and orbs of onyx. I traded sunlight for the glow of the moon. I gave up living amongst humans for creatures of the night. And I wouldn't go back for anything in the world. I am finally home. I've spent so much time running from monsters that it's my turn to do the chasing. Sweet Dreams...
