Welcome, dear reader, to a tale of high spirits and hilarious misadventure! This is the story of three teenagers from the fantastical world of Emaranta: Fredrick Deleman, the easy-going adventurer; Bailey Knosing, the clever and occasionally clumsy strategist; and Sandra Harris, the sharp and surprising new friend they haven't even met yet. Travis Phelps- the homophobic asshole that beat up the outsiders as a way to filter his own self hatred, stuck in an abusive household. He was miserable, gay and being suffocated by the grip of his father's religiousness. Sal Fisher- the new kid in town, the exact thing Travis hated. Gay and transgender, on the outside happy with his life. On the inside, dying from a heart disease and living with a verbally abusive alcoholic father. Both were miserable, though it was hardly obvious to outsiders. They were polar opposites yet the exact same. Brought together by the very same religiousness that was slowly killing them, the two are at first enemies. Though after growing together, they make a decision. They were going to run away. I walked into the wooden cage, walking up to the vampire slowly, taunting him. I finally take a seat across from him. I nodded to the boys and they left the room. Travis grew up knowing a couple things. One of those things was that being gay was a sin, and that if you were gay, or anything like that, you're going to hell. Or at least, that's what he was told. But after an incident with Sal in the boys washroom, Travis starts to think that he might have been wrong the whole time. Just a quick warning, this is a pretty heavy story and contains things like abuse (both verbal and physical), drug use, suicidal thoughts and attempts, slurs and swearing.
