Pride and Five Troubles

Elia and David first meet at her family's Korean BBQ restaurant. She overhears David insulting her sister Jane. Indignant and angry, she almost spills a bowl of hot soup on his lap. Later, they meet again at her church in San Francisco. She thinks he's an arrogant jerk who thinks he's better than everyone else, and he believes she is a gold-digger with no morals. Finally, sparks fly when they meet for the third time at the international engineering and construction firm where she works, and both are unsettled and intrigued by one another.

Inspired by Pride and Prejudice, Pride and Five Troubles is about Korean-American sisters who must navigate through a maze of overbearing relatives, troubles with men they love, and their insecurities and prejudices.
