People were relocated beneath the earth to live free of the disaster while disease-stricken living dead walked the surface. Beneath the mountains a settlement of New Hope rested, and in that settlement dangerous business brewed.
A street urchin Alina Oswald, her thieving best friend Felix and a group of rag-tag criminals are sent to reconnect with a settlement seemingly half a world away from New Hope, but there is more than meets the eye in the world of post-calamity.
And the outside may yet be the least dangerous place of all.
