Lidya is forced on an adventure unlike anything she's ever seen in her mundane Kentucky home.
When the pond in her Aunt and Uncle's back yard becomes a whirlpool and drags her under, she wakes up in a strange land called Orenda. With the aid of some of its strange inhabitants she makes her way to the King's Castle so his Royal Mage can send her home. All the while a witch is plotting to use her in a scheme to take the throne, and Lidya cant shake a strange feeling of familiarity about this place...

Hello! This book has been in the works for just about a year now, it's still being edited/beta read as of now and I hope you enjoy! Yes I drew the cover myself, also there are no romantic subplots.
If any of you have any constructive criticism or advice for someone who's still a novice writer I'd appreciate it if you left a comment with said advice. Thank you for reading.

The very first book in the "Waverly Stump and The 7 realms" series. Waverly is a twelve year old orphan of the Human race, whose half-Elven half-Dwarven foster father HalfHyde, has kept cooped up on his side of the lake; training and teaching her all that he can. She has none to relate with except for her best friend, Judson, a thirteen year old boy of the race of Shades. When Waverly repeatedly receives a disturbing nightmare about a woman who claims to be her mother, and is held hostage by a force of darkness, she sets out to the rescue. Judson, unwilling to let Waverly run off on her own, tags along, and the duo make a harrowing journey to the realm of chaos called The Abyss. There, Waverly learns of her heritage as a god's blood and subsequently receives a vision of an impending war that would supposedly obliterate all seven realms. Now, she must fight to see her world safe. [ an Open Novella Ambassador's Pick 2019, Longlisted in the Open Novella Contest ] [ featured on Fairytale Community's Misc. and Combo Fairytales Inspired/Retellings ] Ever since 15-year-old Annemie saw Antsje Pluk, the fairytale figure who supposedly eats children for dessert, she's known that the witch will come for her. Now that she's no longer a child, the forest doesn't scare her anymore. One night, she sneaks out. But instead of returning safely in the morning, Antsje Pluk curses and captures Annemie, bringing her to a cottage hidden deep in the woods. Girls have been disappearing from their village for years, but Aleta, Annemie's twin sister, won't let her become one of the lost. In order to save her sister, Aleta must face her fears head-on, find a magical flower, confront an evil witch, and break an age-old curse. Luckily, she has the guidance of an old friend, but the other girl is not what she seems, and there are secrets hidden in the woods. Sprinkled with Dutch lore, this retelling of a neglected fairytale is filled with witches, moss maidens, and shape-shifting, but it all comes down to some very human traits: bravery, sacrifice, and most of all, love. cover by @anonymousmlpfan "A lovely little story, full of brilliant fairy-tale descriptions.
