They don't wanna be alive but they also don't wanna go through the process of killing themself so they're just there.

But because They are gods least favorite they have been cursed with a psychotic brunette man who is absolutely infatuated with them and there lack of self preservation.

Oh well, this is more exciting then what they had before, and a better chance at an escape.
