I watch the birds burn as they fly.
Witnessing my surroundings slowly die.
Her smile disappeared like a ghost,
And so did the boy who loved it the most.
They dance in their dead ashes.
Remembering each other’s heart as it clashes.
Grey clouds start caving in.
Recalled childhood, jumping dirty puddles into each grown sin.
Climbing up the tower holding hands.
The only smile on their face lands.
One last look, before down they went.
Red eyes, they were already hell sent.
Memories of jumping puddles turned into the ground,
But wrapped in each other’s arms they were found.
Around this small world, their lengthened skins could never fit.
So they disappeared into a world that sought no limit.
