Stormpaw is a new apprentice in Tideclan. Brought in by his adoptive mother, Silvertuft, from a twoleg den. He never quite fit in from the beginning; however, as he begins to grow, cats notice that he is not at all what they thought he was. How will Stormpaw deal with his new life if all the cats of Tideclan are scared of him? This story occurs before the events of "Protection".

BOOK 1 ShadowClan and RiverClan had been at war with each other for years, and at the peak of the bloody fights, three kits were born. Born to a dead mother and father, the only affection these kits had took form in the cold medicine cat of ShadowClan, Clearfrost, an illusion that broke like smooth water. Things only got worse as they grew. Their relationship with each other morphed colder and more brittle as they themselves changed, each struggling to survive the war in the only way they knew how. However, with rivalries, forbidden friendships, war, and a prophecy looming over them, everything unfolded to be much more complex than intended, bringing information they may have never wanted to learn. Knowledge is power, and when seeking for that, the three may be messing with a cat who would sacrifice everything to stay in control. ~~~ published || July 9, 2023 completed || February 11, 2024
