That's the first basic instinct a person can have in life. To run. Whether you are running late, exercising, playing a sport, games as a child, or simply because you enjoy it. Running is important to life... especially when one's life is in danger. The adrenaline takes over and the amount of energy a person can have is unimaginable; they can run for hours if need be. Fight-or-Flight Response, as some people call it.
The desperate need to run.
The best advice when the sound of snarling trails behind you, catching up with hostile intent? Run. Run and never look back. The world, in simple terms, had gone to shit. Without warning, everyone found themselves having to run and fight in order to survive. Although, no one ever expected to be fighting the dead.
