Robin Bliese is a 30-something professional pianist who plays for other artists. He dreams of becoming famous and having fans like his clients, including the secretly mean diva Lilly Lopez.

After his brother suggests that he upload all of his original music and songs online and start livestreaming to potential listeners, Robin gradually builds a fan base.

When his fans ask him for a concert or songwriting classes, Robin decides to invite those who can to a mini-concert at a local coffee shop. He then decides to organize songwriting classes at his family island vacation home, which he inherited from his departed parents.

The Hummingbirds have been on the hunt for a new lead singer for almost a year now after Callum has left for his soloist career. They've listened to countless auditions, all done by ego-centered guys who were only in it for the fame and the attention. The three bandmates are exhausted, as is their crew. The desperation led to the only possible solution: accepting girls for the auditions. Instead, he says she's not his type and would rather just be friends. This stings at first especially as she sees him go after a girl much more alluring than she is. Benji, his bandmate and best friend, tells her it's not worth it, that every girl he gets involved with is only for a hot minute and then he's on to the next one. She asks how she can get him interested in her to which he says to not care about him and move on to the next guy. But she says she's never felt this way about a guy before and Benji says he has an idea. Since Nick is his best friend, he'll turn her into the perfect catch.
