He held the book against his chest as if his life depended on it. He had promised, he wouldn't let go of it. His breath was heavy and ragged, the smoke filling his lungs intrusively. Green eyes snapped everywhere, looking desperately for an exit. He jumped when his back met the thick wall behind him, his eyes landing on the awful smoky creature. Each step it took made a sloppy sound that made the blue hedgehog cringing. Sonic was screwed. He tightly shut his eyes as he saw the creature jumping towards him, protecting the book instinctively. But when he thoughts that he would hear his own scream, his ears perked up at the sound of an audible squeak and a grunt. He peeked one eye out, seeing only smoke from where the monster was a second ago. Sonic's eyes widened and he looked around immediately, his hands slightly shaking. As he looked up at a roof, he noticed a silhouette, standing there, a giant smoky scythe resting over his shoulder. His crimson red eyes locked onto green emerald ones. "Pathetic." the figure said, making a shiver run up Sonic's spine." The ultimate caretaker (a shadamy story)
during a huge fight to the death with Mephiles Sonic was kicked to the side mid fight to the point where he passed out and went unconscious. Sadly, they did not have any chaos emeralds, which would've made the battle easier, shadow was left to be the only one fighting the big problem, Mephiles...while the others were fighting his goons shadow manages to defeat Mephiles but not without a brutal beat down, even for the ultimate life form he had his limits. When the fight was done, he was left there, two semi broken legs, a deep, deep cut in his torso, and cuts between his left arm. The others who are fighting alongside G.U.N have been left with bruises and many scars, but nothing compared to what the seemingly immortal ultimate life form had. After the battle was done and the world was saved shadow was still crippled, Amy was determined to make sure shadow will be perfectly healed and take care of him for as long as she needed to her motherly instincts wouldn't let it happen any other way also her will as well, and maybe a tiny bit of her early teenage crush on shadow. They grew closer to each other after spending a full week of recovery awkward, funny and sentimental moments that occurred during the week they had spent together also finding out what their true feelings are for one another.
