Megan has always the perfect poster child. It's all about school and doing the right thing for herself. She's dedicated to her school work and to some day being a doctor. That's why she decides to stay away from everyone at school. She never dates anyone or hangs out with any friends. Everyone stays away from Megan in return. So it's kind of a culture shock when teen heart-throb Damon Rain joins the student body of Carlton High School. He instantly shows an interest in Megan and she picks up on it immediatly, but with Megan's popular 'friend' Tori lurking around every corner Megan's whole life might just go crashing down.

Megan Stewart hasn't known much happiness. She's only 17, but her life has been hard. However, despite all that she's been through, Megan keeps a smile on her face. Meet Jared Wesly. He's the bad boy of the school. However, he's not so much a bad boy. He's simply misunderstood. Only, he's been through quite a lot, just like Megan. In fact, they have more in common than Megan knows. When Jared and Megan's worlds collide (quite literally), Megan finds herself drawn to the boy that annoys her to no end, teases her, but makes her feel happy and protected, something almost unknown to her. Megan must make a choice in the end: Does she take a chance with the familiar boy, or does he become another "What if?" in her life? NOTE: I first wrote this story when I was around 13-14, so there will be cliches and cringe-worthy writing at moments. *Caution: Some language*
