It wasn't supposed to go that way.

No.. it wasn't.

That's what Aizetsu thought. 

It would be such a pity if they have to tell him they were all defeated.

As soon as he was called upon he knew that he's going to have to fight. And eliminating his target along with the other clones should be easy. They always outlast their opponent after all. No matter how smart and strong the enemy is.

They'll never figure out their weak point with all the frenzy he and the other clones bought about.

So why are they all decapitated? Limbs were strewn everywhere from the unexpected and fierce attack performed by that slayer.

The only one left mostly unscathed was him.

All of a sudden, Aizetsu was overcome with a foreign emotion. Something that didn't belong to him. Something that doesn't fit him. Something he should never represent.

Confused and lost on what to do, he fled the battleground. Escaping to the edge of the swordsmith's village border. And if by bad luck, he came face to face with Kochou Shinobu.

In the final battle against Muzan Kibutsuji, many of the Pillars lost their lives along the way, and few of those who survived up to that point made it to the end. With Tanjiro Kamado's sacrifice, Muzan Kibutsuji was forced to keep fighting until the sunlight pierced through the mountains, signaling dawn. It didn't take long for the Demon King to be pulverized by the sunlight. Many celebrated as they witnessed his body disintegrating, but others were already aware of the tragic fate of young Kamado-who gave his life to ensure Muzan's defeat and even in death, did not release his crimson blade. However, not everything is rosy, even in death. As Tanjiro disintegrated under the sun, Muzan injected all his remaining blood into Tanjiro's lifeless body.
